Farm Aid was a benefit concert to help the plight of family farmers in the USA. It was organized by musicians Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young and first took place on September 22, 1985. The show featured the leading light of country music, so it was only natural the Johnny Cash should perform at the event.
