Johnny Cash sings “San Quentin” at San Quentin (1969)

From his appearance at San Quentin prison on February 24, 1969, Johnny Cash sings “San Quentin”

Johnny Cash tells a story about his arrest for “picking flowers” and asks a guard for a glass of water before sing the song about the prison. Pretty gutsy to sing the lyrics “San Quentin may you rot and burn in hell / May your walls fall and may I live to tell / May all the world forget you ever stood / And may all the world regret you did no good.”
